Biden to Announce 2024 Reelection Bid Next Week.
TL;DR
President Joe Biden is expected to announce his bid for a second term as early as next week, coinciding with the anniversary of his 2019 campaign announcement. While his plan to run for reelection has been known for months, the official declaration will ignite an aggressive fundraising effort to help Democrats hold the White House. Biden's aides have been quietly putting an infrastructure in place for a reelection campaign, led by deputy chief of staff Jen O’Malley Dillon and senior adviser Anita Dunn.
