"Biden's Recent Mix-Up: Confusing French Presidents Past and Present"
TL;DR
President Joe Biden mistakenly referred to the late German chancellor Helmut Kohl instead of former Chancellor Angela Merkel while recounting a 2021 conversation at campaign events, marking his second mix-up of European leaders this week. This follows a previous gaffe where he confused François Mitterrand with French President Emmanuel Macron. Biden's political opponent, former President Donald Trump, has also had recent slip-ups, leading to questions about both candidates' mental fitness. An NBC News poll found that a majority of voters have concerns about Biden's and Trump's mental and physical health.
