Boebert's Son Arrested on Child Exploitation Felony Charges in Colorado

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert's 21-year-old son, Tyler Boebert, was arrested Aug. 9 in Garfield County on three felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child (including intent to distribute material) and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, stemming from a 2024 investigation into sexually explicit material involving minors and an Instagram group chat; he told police he was the person in a video with a 17-year-old girl but did not record it, which the girl says he did. He was released on $10,000 bond; sentencing hearings are planned next month in Weld and Garfield counties, with an Aug. 19 appearance on bond. Lauren Boebert issued a statement saying the family takes the allegations seriously while they pursue legal proceedings.
