Carl Wilson Seizes NYC District 3 Council Seat in Special Election
TL;DR
Carl Wilson led the District 3 special election early, with first-round ranked-choice results showing 43% for Wilson to 25% for Lindsey Boylan as ballots continued to be counted; the race, seen as a proxy fight against Mayor Mamdani’s endorsement, places Wilson on track to win once ballots are redistributed and results are ratified, though he must also win the June 23 Democratic primary and the November general to serve a full four-year term.
