Lightfoot accused Texas Governor Greg Abbott of attempting "to cause chaos and score political points" by busing migrants to Chicago without regard for their urgent needs. Abbott has been busing and flying migrants from his border state to Democrat-led enclaves such as New York City and Chicago in protest over Biden administration immigration policies.
