China sanctions US and Taiwan representatives and organizations over presidential visit.

China has imposed sanctions on two American organizations, the Hudson Institute and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, for hosting Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen during her recent visit to the United States. The organizations and their leaders are banned from any cooperation, exchange, or transaction with institutions and individuals in China, and their assets in the country will be frozen. China also imposed sanctions on two Taiwanese organizations and Hsiao Bi-khim, Taiwan's representative to the US. The move comes amid increased military, economic, and diplomatic pressure on Taiwan from Beijing, and tensions between China and the US.
