Clarence Thomas faces legal and political scrutiny over real estate deals and donor ties.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has filed a complaint with the Department of Justice and Chief Justice John Roberts, calling for an investigation into Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for failing to disclose hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts and property sales to billionaire donor Harlan Crow. Thomas and his wife reportedly accepted luxury travel and vacations for 20 years from Crow without disclosing them as gifts or travel reimbursements on his financial disclosures filed under the Ethics in Government Act. CREW argues that Thomas' acceptance of and failure to disclose these gifts undermines public trust in his ability to serve impartially on the Court.
