Philip Sean Grillo, a candidate for the House of Representatives seat previously held by George Santos, has been found guilty of multiple charges related to the January 6 Capitol attack. Grillo entered the Capitol building through a broken window, filmed himself smoking marijuana, and chanted "Fight for Trump!" while confronting law enforcement officers. He was identified through footage showing him wearing a jacket with the Knights of Columbus seal. Grillo testified that he had no knowledge that Congress met inside the Capitol, despite running for congressional office. A special election to fill Santos' seat will be held on February 13, while Grillo's sentencing date is yet to be determined.
