Court keeps injunction on Trump midterm mail-in voting order

A federal judge extended the injunction blocking President Trump’s executive order aimed at limiting mail-in voting for the upcoming midterm elections. The hold was first imposed by Judge Talwani in June, with the Supreme Court later overturning that stay, saying the lawsuits were filed prematurely before the Postal Service issued its implementing rule. That rule arrived just before the ruling, and plaintiffs refiled, so the block remains in place as litigation continues.
