David Valadao Secures Key California House Seat for GOP
TL;DR
California Republican Rep. David Valadao has successfully retained his swing seat in the Central Valley, despite being a major target for Democrats hoping to capitalize on increased voter turnout. Valadao, who has represented the area for nearly a decade except for a brief period after losing in 2018, regained his seat in 2020. He is notable for being one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump after the January 6 Capitol riot.
