Democrats call for action against Clarence Thomas over ethics concerns.

Senate judiciary committee’s chairperson, Dick Durbin, has called on US Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to implement a code of conduct for the court's justices after recent revelations about the ties between some of them and conservative political figures. Durbin's comments come after reports that Republican mega-donor Harlan Crow paid for the great-nephew of Justice Clarence Thomas to attend a private boarding school, provided Thomas with luxury travel and resort stays, and bought a home from him where the justice's mother still lives. Thomas did not declare any of this before siding with the court's conservative majority in major rulings.
