Democrats to Nominate Biden in Early August Amid Calls for Him to Quit
TL;DR
Democrats plan to hold a virtual vote in early August to nominate President Joe Biden, despite calls from some within the party for him to withdraw after a poor debate performance. The DNC's rules committee will finalize the voting process, aiming to meet Ohio's initial filing deadline to avoid legal challenges. A recent poll shows nearly two-thirds of Democrats want Biden to step aside, and only about 30% are confident in his mental capability to serve effectively.
