DeSantis-aligned super PAC airs TV ad attacking Trump in 2024 race.
TL;DR
A super PAC aligned with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis released a television ad attacking former President Donald Trump as a liar facing legal peril. The ad is the clearest sign that DeSantis plans to enter the Republican presidential primary and directly challenge Trump, who so far has been the clear front-runner. The ad highlights Trump's legal challenges, undisciplined comments, and worries about whether he is up to the task of challenging Democrats. Trump has attacked DeSantis as an ungrateful turncoat whom he helped elect as governor of Florida in 2018.
