"DeSantis Campaign Faces Uncertainty and Criticism Amidst Trump's Dominance in GOP Race"
TL;DR
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis upset New York Republicans after his presidential campaign failed to coordinate a fundraiser in Rockland County with the local party leader. The county's GOP Chair, Lawrence Garvey, expressed disappointment at not being informed about the event and received no apology for the oversight. The campaign later moved the fundraiser to a more private venue due to planned protests by Democratic groups. DeSantis remains a popular choice among New York Republicans, with many seeing him as a Trump-like figure without the same baggage.
