DeSantis stirs controversy with Peoria speech criticizing Biden and Illinois policies.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis warned a crowd of GOP supporters in Peoria, Illinois that if President Joe Biden is reelected and other Democrats also win office, "the country is going to be unrecognizable." DeSantis touted his own policies in areas including education and criminal justice that are meant to counter a "woke ideology." He did not mention his prospective challenge to former President Donald Trump, who has already announced his GOP bid for the White House.
