Fetterman's Secret GOP Convention Cameo Sparks Bipartisan Buzz
TL;DR
Sen. John Fetterman quietly agreed to appear at the Republican midterm convention, recording a video outside a steel mill to introduce Sen. Dave McCormick and tout bipartisan steel-industry cooperation. The move, driven by GOP organizers seeking an eye-catching ‘Oh sh*t’ moment, came from a personal friendship rather than a desire to switch parties. Fetterman stressed he’s a lifelong Democrat and wouldn’t become a Republican, and he didn’t travel to Dallas in person or tell his team in advance.
