Florida Travel Advisory Issued by Human Rights and Political Groups

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has issued a travel advisory for Florida, warning against travel to the state due to the passage of several new laws that target LGBTQ people. HRC partnered with the Florida LGBTQ advocacy group Equality Florida to issue the advisory, citing the adoption of six bills targeting the rights of LGBTQ people by Florida’s GOP-controlled legislature. Reports of the state becoming an increasingly hostile place for LGBTQ people have already begun to surface. The NAACP and LULAC have also issued travel advisories for Florida.
