Impeachment Voter Dan Newhouse Secures Reelection in Washington

Reps. David Valadao of California and Dan Newhouse of Washington, two of the ten House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump after the January 6 Capitol riot, have been re-elected. Valadao and Newhouse are the only two of these Republicans still serving in the House, as others either retired or lost primaries to Trump-backed challengers. Both states use a top-two primary system, which helped them advance to the general election despite facing challenges from Trump-endorsed candidates.
