Investigation launched after migrants from Texas left at Sacramento church doorstep.

California Governor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta are investigating after a group of more than a dozen migrants from Texas were dropped off in front of a church in Sacramento without warning. Newsom's administration and the California Department of Justice are working together to determine who paid for the travel of the migrants and whether they were misled, given false promises or kidnapped. Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg called for an investigation into the situation, stating that human trafficking is not only despicable but also a felony.
