Iowa Governor Signs Controversial Transgender Bathroom and Care Bill Into Law

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has signed two bills into law that restrict the rights of transgender young people in the state. One of the bills prohibits doctors from providing gender-affirming health care to transgender minors, while the other bars transgender students from using school restrooms or locker rooms that are consistent with their gender identity.
