Mike Pence testifies before grand jury probing Trump's attempts to overturn election and retain power.

Former Vice President Mike Pence testified for over seven hours before the grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Federal prosecutors were interested in questioning Pence about the events surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol and efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Pence initially tried to resist the subpoena, but a federal judge ruled that he was required to provide testimony about any involvement Trump had in efforts to alter the 2020 election.
