Minnesota Gov. Walz vetoes multiple rideshare bills amidst Uber threats.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has vetoed a bill that would have set a minimum wage for rideshare drivers after Uber threatened to halt its operations in greater Minnesota if the bill had been signed into law. The bill would have required rideshare drivers to receive minimum compensation of at least $1.45 per mile and another 34 cents per minute for all trips in the Twin Cities area. For rides outside of the Twin Cities, drivers would get at least $1.25 per mile and 34 cents per minute.
