Minnesota House set to vote on recreational marijuana legalization bill.

The Minnesota House is close to passing a bill legalizing marijuana, which would establish a seed-to-sale program and streamline the process for clearing prior criminal offenses off records. The bill would permit adults over 21 to buy, possess, and use cannabis, and would allow home growing starting this summer. The Senate is set to vote on the bill on Friday. If passed, the legislation would set up a tax structure for both cannabis and products containing hemp-derived THC, and would expunge prior marijuana convictions off records. Differences in the two versions would have to be reconciled before anything reaches Gov. Tim Walz.
