Murkowski Opposes Trump's Attorney General Pick Over DOJ Politicization Fears
TL;DR
Senator Lisa Murkowski said she will oppose President Trump's nominee Todd Blanche for attorney general, arguing the Justice Department has become politicized and warning Blanche's confirmation is now in jeopardy. Her stance adds to GOP hesitation on Blanche, with other Republicans like Susan Collins also signaling opposition or reluctance, casting further doubt on whether Blanche can be confirmed while Trump could keep him as acting AG if the nomination fails.
