NRA sues Maryland governor over new gun-control bills.

Maryland Governor Wes Moore signed gun-control measures into law, including removing the "good and substantial reason" requirement for a license to carry a concealed gun in public, but also tightening gun laws to prevent carrying a concealed handgun in certain areas. The National Rifle Association (NRA) filed a federal lawsuit against the measures, claiming they are unconstitutional. The new laws also raise the age for qualifying for a handgun permit from 18 to 21 and prohibit permits for those on supervised probation for a crime punishable by up to one year or more in prison, among other restrictions.
