"NY Dem Challenges 'Squad' Member Over Israel Stance and Fire Alarm Fiasco"
TL;DR
Westchester County Executive George Latimer has filed paperwork to challenge Rep. Jamaal Bowman in a Democratic primary for New York's 16th Congressional District. Speculation about Latimer's candidacy has been fueled by concerns over Bowman's comments on Israel, which some voters view as anti-Israel. Latimer, a Democrat powerhouse in the area, has not yet made a public announcement about his candidacy. While Bowman's support appears to be waning, he recently received an endorsement from the progressive Working Families Party.
