Paxton Defense Attorney Mitch Little Announces Run for Texas House Seat

Mitch Little, one of Ken Paxton's attorneys in his Senate impeachment trial, has filed a campaign treasurer appointment to run for the Texas House in District 65, currently held by freshman Rep. Kronda Thimesch, a Republican who voted to impeach Paxton. Little, who was once a key supporter of Thimesch, resigned as her campaign treasurer prior to the impeachment trial. Paxton himself hinted at Little's potential campaign, while Thimesch expressed her plans to run for reelection in 2024. Since his acquittal, Paxton has endorsed primary challengers to House Republicans who voted to impeach him.
