Pentagon updates Iran war toll, pushing casualty total past 600

The Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS) was updated to add a new 'Overseas Operations' category and report more than 140 additional wounded, bringing the Iran war toll to 18 dead and 624 wounded since Feb. 28, with four soldiers killed last week. The changes come amid scrutiny over data disruptions at DCAS and lawmakers’ questions about transparency and the War Powers clock and congressional authorization.
