"Political Leaders Criticize Trump's Controversial Immigration Rhetoric"
TL;DR
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican presidential candidate, criticized former President Donald Trump's recent remarks on immigration, stating that they did not help "move the ball forward" on border issues. DeSantis and fellow GOP candidate Nikki Haley both expressed disapproval of Trump's language, with Haley calling it unhelpful, non-constructive, and unnecessary. Trump has faced criticism from Senate Republicans and others for his comments, which have been compared to Adolf Hitler's rhetoric. DeSantis, however, stated that he was unclear about Trump's intention with the remark.
