Republican Dan Knodl secures supermajority win in Wisconsin Senate race.

Republican state Rep. Dan Knodl won a special election for a state Senate seat in the Milwaukee suburbs, giving Republicans a two-thirds majority in the state Senate, allowing them to remove state officials impeached in the Assembly. Knodl replaces former state Sen. Alberta Darling in the 8th Senate District, which covers the northern Milwaukee suburbs. Knodl has said he would consider launching impeachment proceedings for criminal justice officials "who have failed" at their jobs.
