Super PAC Files Ethics Complaint Against DeSantis Over Shadow Campaign

A super PAC aligned with former President Trump, Make America Great Again Inc., has filed an ethics complaint with the Florida Commission on Ethics accusing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis of waging a “shadow presidential campaign” through his book tour and pro-DeSantis super PACs. The complaint argues that DeSantis’s activities are unlawful and serve his personal political objectives, and that he is already a de facto candidate for President of the United States. DeSantis’s communications director called the complaint “politically motivated.”
