Taiwan's Defense Tested by Chinese Drones and Warships

Taiwan's defence ministry reported that a Chinese TB-001 drone, capable of carrying a large weapons payload, circled the island, crossing the unofficial boundary dividing the Taiwan Strait. The drone was part of a group of 38 Chinese aircraft detected by Taiwan's defence ministry. This comes amid constant threats of attack by Beijing, which views Taiwan as part of its territory. The drone was previously deployed during military drills simulating targeted strikes and a blockade of Taiwan. The incident occurred as the Chinese military sent fighter jets to track a US reconnaissance plane flying through the Taiwan Strait.
