The ongoing Disney-DeSantis feud in Florida.

A yearlong feud between Disney and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis began after the company spoke out against a controversial bill. DeSantis responded by targeting Disney's special self-governing powers in Florida, which allowed the company to call much of its own shots for the past six decades. In his latest move, the governor floated building a state prison next to Walt Disney World. The feud has also involved the expansion of a controversial education law and a power grab by Disney. Recently, the Florida Board of Education approved a ban on classroom discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity for all grades, including grades four through 12.
