Title 42 expiration prompts border towns to brace for migrant surge.

Laredo, Texas, Mayor Dr. Victor Trevino has declared a state of emergency for his city as the end of Title 42 looms. He compared the situation to a hurricane and said they are preparing for an influx of migrants who will be transferred to Laredo for processing. The city has limited capacity and is preparing to bus some migrants to northern cities with more funding and capacity. The mayor has been speaking to officials about the situation and has tools of last resort if things get out of control. About 40,000 more people are waiting on the Mexican side to cross once Title 42 expires.
