Trump fights against Pence's testimony in Jan. 6 probe.

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump have appealed a judge's order for ex-Vice President Mike Pence to testify in a special counsel investigation of Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election. The appeal comes after Pence said he would comply with the subpoena. Trump's legal team is arguing that Pence should be protected by attorney-client privilege and executive privilege. The investigation is targeting Trump's role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Pence is also considering launching a 2024 presidential campaign that would put him in direct competition with Trump.
