Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican representative from Georgia, tweeted a bizarre theory that Democrats are jealous of former President Donald Trump and would do anything to have him, after he was arraigned in criminal court on 34 felony counts. Greene has been a vocal defender of Trump and compared his prosecution to those suffered by Nelson Mandela and Jesus Christ. She was removed from all her House committees for endorsing political violence against fellow members but was appointed to new committee assignments earlier this year after the Republican takeover of the chamber.
