Former Attorney General William Barr criticized President Donald Trump for attacking the judge and others involved in his indictment case, but agreed that the case brought by District Attorney Alvin Bragg is weak and an abuse of prosecutorial power. Barr also stated that Trump's legal woes will likely drag out throughout the 2024 election season, which could benefit him during the primaries but hurt him in the general election. Barr also suggested that Trump could face indictment in a separate case concerning classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago.
