Uganda's Anti-LGBTQ Law Sparks International Outrage and Criticism.

Republican senator Ted Cruz faced criticism from both sides of the political spectrum on Twitter after he condemned Uganda's new anti-LGBT+ laws, which prescribe the death penalty for "aggravated homosexuality". Critics accused Cruz of hypocrisy and questioned his priorities, with some suggesting he should focus on issues in his own state of Texas. Last year, Cruz was also criticised for opposing the legalisation of same-sex marriage in the US.
