US Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas urged to resign over undisclosed gifts and conflicts of interest.

Ethics watchdog Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (Crew) has called on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to resign over his failure to declare lavish gifts and financial support from Republican mega-donor Harlan Crow. The watchdog cited a "grave crisis of institutional legitimacy currently facing the supreme court" and said Thomas's conduct had likely violated civil and criminal laws. Thomas has said he did not declare gifts from Crow because he was advised not to do so, but will do so in future.
