Hospital worker in viral bike video claims false allegations destroyed her life.
TL;DR
The NYC hospital worker at the center of a viral video has had her life "effectively destroyed" by false allegations of racism, according to her lawyer. The woman, who is pregnant and a healthcare "hero," was accused of trying to take a rental bike from a young Black man. The lawyer said his client paid for the bike herself and has receipts to prove it. The woman has been receiving threats and is now "in hiding." She has been placed on leave from her job while NYC Health + Hospitals investigates the incident.
