Transgender woman's membership in University of Wyoming sorority challenged in lawsuit.

Seven sorority members at the University of Wyoming have filed a lawsuit against the induction of a transgender woman into their local chapter. The lawsuit alleges that the woman made residents of the Kappa Kappa Gamma house uncomfortable by staring at them without talking and watching them silently. The lawsuit asks for a judge to declare the woman's sorority membership void and award unspecified damages. The University of Wyoming has a long history of wrangling with LGBTQ+ issues since the murder of gay freshman Matthew Shepard in 1998 heightened attention to them nationwide.
