Bridge Inspection and Reopening: West Sacramento's Highway 50 After Deadly Crash

The westbound side of Highway 50 in West Sacramento was closed after a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian overpass under construction. Bridge inspection crews were called to the scene, and all westbound lanes were closed until the structure could be inspected and cleared. Traffic started flowing again just before 7 a.m.
