Bay Bridge Incidents: Traffic, Shooting, and Arrests.
TL;DR
Heavy police presence on the Bay Bridge caused traffic to back up since midnight Thursday, impacting Thursday's morning commute. All westbound lanes have been reopened, but residual delays are expected. A person climbed onto the railing of the Bay Bridge and was safely removed around 6:26 a.m. Thursday. Two accidents occurred on the westbound incline, one involving a big rig that left two people dead. Drivers can take alternate routes such as the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, San Mateo Bridge, or ferry to get into San Francisco.
