Andover family mourns loss of 5-year-old girl killed in tragic accident
TL;DR
A 5-year-old girl named Sidney Olson was killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer at a busy intersection in Andover, Massachusetts. The Olson family said Sidney was a bright and energetic girl who was known for her soft-spoken curiosity. The family and another member were in the crosswalk, and the walk sign showed it was safe to cross. The driver of the truck stopped and cooperated with police. The family hopes the town makes fast changes to that and other high-traffic intersections to prevent similar tragedies.
