Tragic Accident: 13-Year-Old Girl Fatally Struck by Two Vehicles While Walking with Friends.

A 13-year-old girl, identified as Yasmine L. Swain, was fatally struck by two vehicles while walking with friends on Heflin Avenue West near Oak Ridge Drive in Forestdale, northwest Jefferson County. The incident occurred at around 8 p.m. on Thursday. The girl was taken to Children’s of Alabama where she was pronounced dead at 9:01 p.m. The investigation is ongoing by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team.
