Tragic Accident Claims Student's Life While Waiting for School Bus

A student waiting to board a school bus in Wisconsin was killed by a pickup truck that swerved to avoid hitting the bus. The incident occurred on Friday morning in Excelsior, Wisconsin. The driver of the pickup truck failed to slow down while approaching the bus and swerved to the right to avoid hitting it, striking the student instead. The student was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver sustained minor injuries. The Sauk County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
