Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Florida Hog Hunters in Texas Underground Tank

Three hog hunters from Florida tragically died in an underground tank filled with sewer gas in Texas while attempting to rescue their dog, which had fallen into the hole. The bodies of two men and a woman, along with the dog, were recovered from the tank. The hunters apparently succumbed to hydrogen sulfide gas and sank to the bottom of the cistern. The tank had a high level of gas, and efforts to recover the bodies were hindered by concerns about the gas and the structural integrity of the tank.
