Law enforcement increases efforts to combat distracted driving in multiple states.

The Washington State Patrol is planning to conduct emphasis patrols throughout the state in early April to crack down on distracted driving. The patrols will focus on drivers who are using their cell phones or engaging in other distracting behaviors while behind the wheel. Law enforcement officials hope that the increased enforcement will help reduce the number of traffic accidents caused by distracted driving.
