Former booster club treasurer charged with diverting about $411K from a California high school football program

Julie Hanway Molina, 56, of Orange County, is indicted on charges she diverted more than $411,000 raised by the Wolverine Football Club for Aliso Niguel High School’s football program, funding her mortgage and personal expenses and concealing the theft with false treasurer reports; the indictment includes four counts of interstate wire transmission of funds, potentially up to 20 years in prison per count, and the FBI is investigating as Molina pleaded not guilty and was released on bond ahead of her Nov. 2 trial.
