LAPD Releases Body-Cam Footage of Officers Shooting Woman’s Dog in Canoga Park

The LAPD released edited body-camera footage from Canoga Park showing officers shooting and killing a two-year-old dog named Jameson outside a woman’s apartment after her dog barked at them; the owner said the dog was not aggressive and the dog wore a Knicks jersey. City officials, including Mayor Karen Bass, said an investigation into the use of force would occur. The department released the video more quickly than usual, but it was edited and the officers’ faces were blurred.
